Thanks to our hybrid-electric solution for drones, Sterna for UAV, we have hybridized Delair’s iconic DT46.

We are proud to announce our collaboration with Delair, a designer and manufacturer of professional drones for industry and defense, to develop a hybrid-electric observation drone with a fixed wing, designed and manufactured in France.

Thanks to our hybrid-electric solution for drones, Sterna for UAV, we have hybridized Delair’s iconic DT46. This hybridization will provide the DT46 with new flight capabilities and better performance for long-distance surveillance missions:

🔹 Significantly increased endurance and range compared to conventional electric drones, notably through in-flight recharging and hybridization

🔹 Hybrid mode offers mission flexibility, including reduced acoustic and thermal signatures

🔹 Enhanced drone availability

🔹 Dual-use for civil & military applications, with optimized economic and environmental impact

With the support and funding of the Agence Innovation Défense, this project—launched by the DGA and led by the ALIENOR innovation hub through a call for expressions of interest—illustrates our ambition to accelerate the modernization and sustainability of aviation.

A major step forward for French innovation in defense and aviation!
