Ascendance, manufacturer of hybrid-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) airplanes and solutions to decarbonize flying, has teamed with Helipass, the world’s premier helicopter flight experience booking platform, to jointly build the future of regional air mobility.
This new collaboration will enable Ascendance to offer Helipass users a sustainable, low-carbon alternative, thereby enhancing the appeal of the platform to a broader customer base. With ATEA, its hybrid eVTOL airplane — a unique model on the market today — Ascendance offers up to 80% carbon emissions reduction, 50% less operating costs and 75% less noise than aircraft running on conventional fuel, with a useful range of 400 km (250 mi), compared to a traditional helicopter.
“We’re proud to announce our collaboration with Helipass,” says Thibault Baldivia, Chief Commercial Officer for Ascendance. “It allows us to develop our partner ecosystem and work with a leading player in helicopter flying experiences to promote the capabilities of our eVTOL aircraft in this segment. It’s also a way to market and help make our eVTOL model available to operators and the public.”
“This partnership with Ascendance is a chance for us to offer our users new, more environmentally friendly ways to travel,” says Frédéric Aguettant, CEO of Helipass. “By proposing these unique eVTOL model on our platform, we’re continuing our push into the new era of carbon-free flying.”
Available to order, the ATEA aircraft will soon be marketed and progressively bookable on the Helipass platform.
